Hiya!
I’m Elizabeth, and I am a writer. You can learn more about working with me here.
Welcome to my well-intentioned, fiercely vulnerable, wide-open heart-place on the internet. My interests are more varied than the cereal aisle at the grocery store, but they mainly fall into these categories:
The Gliterrarian (i.e., books, reading, libraries, etc.)
Joy Fuel (i.e., things that make me — and hopefully you — smile)
Note: Highly likely to include cats.
Being Human (i.e., the full-spectrum roller coaster that is LIFE)
Food + Drink (e.g., recipes, restaurants)
Travel + Experiences (i.e., places I go and things I observe while I’m there)
Why “TreuWords”?
This space is named for my maiden name, Treusdell—a name I carried into the world long before I had the words to describe who I was. In calling this space TreuWords, I’m honoring where I came from and anchoring myself in the kind of writing I value most: heartfelt words that are true. Sometimes messy, often tender, and sparkly if I’m lucky. But always honest. Always wholehearted. These are my TreuWords—and I’m so glad you’re here to read them.
A Titch About Subscriptions
I don’t plan on ever paywalling my content here. However, I know that some people like to show their support with a one-time or monthly donation. With that in mind:
A free subscription means the world. Truly. Just knowing you’re out there, choosing to read my words, is enough to make me hummingbird-dance across my living room (Bird is used to it).
A paid subscription? That’s next-level kindness. I’ll be so honored I might cry a little and definitely send you something sparkly in the mail if you want. Just say the word. (Seriously—I have glitter-washi at the ready.)
Not a fan of subscriptions? That’s okay too! You can always buy Bird a treat instead. She accepts tips in the form of snacks and chin scritchies, and I’ll use your support to fuel more writing with a side of crunchies.
Or help for free by tapping the magic buttons! A like, a comment, or a restack tells the Substack algorithm nerd-gods that this little piece deserves some daylight. Every click helps me find more kindred spirits.
Thank you for joining me.
